Khalan Boyer

Professional Bio

Khalan Boyer leads strategic partnerships and employer engagement for the College of the Liberal Arts, where she builds relationships with employers and alumni to expand meaningful internship and career opportunities for students.

She brings two decades of experience spanning the nonprofit, private, and public sectors, with deep expertise in community engagement, workforce development, and strategic communications. Before joining Penn State, Khalan served as director at Red Ventures, where she led company-wide initiatives that strengthened workplace culture, advanced inclusive practices, and expanded community and philanthropic partnerships. As executive director of Road to Hire, she advanced economic mobility by forging partnerships with Fortune 500 companies and securing investments that built a strong talent pipeline for young adults.

Her career also includes international service as a Peace Corps volunteer in Nicaragua and early experience in managing corporate communications and media relations at NBCUniversal.

Khalan resides in Washington, D.C., with her husband and enjoys traveling.
