Danae Blasso Brown

Professional Bio

Danae joined the College of the Liberal Arts’ Alumni Relations and Development team in August 2016 as an Associate Director of Development. Since then, she has earned multiple promotions and now serves as the Senior Director of Major Gifts. Prior to her work in the college, Danae was a gift officer in Penn State’s Office of Annual Leadership Gifts from 2014 to 2016, where she was part of the inaugural team that helped establish the unit.

Her development career began during her time as an undergraduate at Penn State, working at the University’s telethon center, Lion Line, an experience that sparked her passion for fundraising and alumni engagement.

Danae resides in State College with her husband, Josh, their daughter, Thea, and their two cats, Noodle and Duck.
