Academic Scholarships
Eligible University Park students are encouraged to apply for scholarships through the College of the Liberal Arts. To learn more about eligibility, important dates, and more visit the scholarship information page. If you have questions about scholarships, please send an email to LAScholarships@psu.edu.
Enrichment Funding
Penn State alumni have given generously to support students as they pursue experiences outside of the classroom. This funding can offset travel and living expenses for internships, study abroad, and undergraduate research activities. Every Liberal Arts student at University Park and World Campus is eligible to apply for funding, and generally more than 95 percent of students that apply receive some support. To learn more, visit the enrichment funding page or schedule an appointment with the Career Enrichment Network.
Emergency Funding
The Liberal Arts Emergency Scholarship Fund is available to College of the Liberal Arts undergraduate, graduate, and World Campus students who are experiencing unforeseen financial setbacks demonstrating a need for temporary financial assistance. Scholarships typically do not exceed $2,500 and are granted to help cover tuition balances and ease financial burdens caused by unexpected job loss, family illness, and other circumstances that are beyond control. Emergency funding is not intended to provide ongoing relief for recurring expenses. If you have questions about emergency funding, please send an email to LAemergencyfund@psu.edu.
Information about additional emergency funding and support resources can be found at:
- Student Success Center (undergraduate students)
- Student Care and Advocacy (undergraduate and graduate students)
- UHS/UPUA Wellness Fund (undergraduate and graduate students)
