Global Security
The Global Security minor is designed to help students explore the global, international, national, and human dimensions of security, conflict, and conflict resolution in contemporary international relations using the analytic tools provided in different social science disciplines. This joint minor is intended to provide students with a background of the theoretical frameworks and skill sets needed to understand the concepts essential to security and related analyses; the challenges and problems faced when dealing with threats to security (e.g., technology, policies, and regulations); and the strengths and weaknesses of various methods of analyzing and responding to challenges to security.

This minor is jointly offered with the College of Information Sciences and Technology, allowing students to get introduced to Security Risk Analysis courses through IST as well as Liberal Arts.
