Professional Bio

Kira Soricelli is a fourth-year Schreyer Scholar majoring in English and Criminology with minors in Psychology and Sociology. She is from New Jersey and plans to apply to law school after graduating from Penn State. Kira is a member of the ad hoc and recruitment committees of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity as well as a brother of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She also serves as a criminology teaching assistant and secretary of Sunny State. She is involved with United Nations Campus Advocates. She takes a leading role in the annual campus event, “Take Back the Night,” which supports victims of sexual violence. In her free time, Kira likes going to the gym, cooking with her roommates, and writing poetry. Her poetry is featured in various magazines and journals inside and outside Penn State. Kira’s favorite thing about being a Liberal Arts student is having the opportunity to hear all different kinds of perspectives and take them into consideration when solving problems.
