Give us a brief summary of your experience?

As an intern at the Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum, I was tasked with several responsibilities. I gave museum tours, cataloged artifacts, and researched many facets of railroading history.

How did this experience impact you academically?

This internship had profound academic effects on me personally. I was able to grow my social skills, network with several professional historians, and gain a deeper understanding of railroading history.

How will this experience impact your career goals?

This experience has opened my horizons to many career opportunities in research, public history, and historical preservation.

How has the College of the Liberal Arts helped you to find and/or succeed in this experience (e.g., adviser, faculty, staff, enrichment funds, etc.)?

The College of Liberal arts was very helpful in my internship process. The Liberal Arts Staff were able to connect me with this internship opportunity, as well as guiding me throughout the internship academically.
