Give us a brief summary of your experience?

I worked as a Research and Development Co-Op within Johnson and Johnson Consumer over the spring and summer 2022 semesters. My work focused on product innovation and addressing key gaps in Johnson and Johnson's skincare product portfolio.

How did this experience impact you academically?

Working at Johnson and Johnson has put me at the intersection of my two majors, sociology and biochemistry and molecular biology. I was able to simultaneously work in a scientific role while following also consumer trends and behaviors.

How will this experience impact your career goals?

My experience working at Johnson and Johnson has given me the opportunity to experience the role of a scientist within the skincare industry, while gaining exposure to the many roles of of technical and non-technical collaborators.

How has the College of the Liberal Arts helped you to find and/or succeed in this experience (e.g., adviser, faculty, staff, enrichment funds, etc.)?

I am extremely grateful for the College of Liberal Arts' faulty, for giving me the prerequisite skills and knowledge to succeed in role. I am also very grateful for the enrichment funds I was awarded by the Career Enrichment Network that allowed me to complete this experience, and to the donors who made it possible.
