Give us a brief summary of your experience?

At Minitab, I work in the Marketing Department assisting the Americas and APAC team with daily marketing tasks, such as marketing planning, statistical analysis, translation work, persona building and development and seeking out advertising partners. It has been a great experience as I have had the opportunity to work with many brilliant people.

How did this experience impact you academically?

As a non-business student studying technical majors, it has been a refreshing change. I enjoy applying my social science critical thinking skills from my economics studies and the statistical skills from my mathematics major to effectively solve problems. Academically, it has been rewarding to see my studies being tied to my internship.

"The team at Minitab has been essential in helping me find what I enjoy doing..."

How will this experience impact your career goals?

I hope to find a job in analytics, research, or data after graduation. The team at Minitab has been essential in helping me find what I enjoy doing as we are often allowed to explore our interests and determine if we want to be placed in a certain project.

How has the College of the Liberal Arts helped you to find and/or succeed in this experience (e.g., adviser, faculty, staff, enrichment funds, etc.)?

Stacey from the Career Enrichment Network was a huge help as she helped me secure the needed internship credits in order to be approved for CPT work authorization.
