Michal Menet

Liberal Arts Major: Psychology
Hometown: Birdsboro, PA
Experience Time: Summer 2020

Give us a brief summary of your experience?

Throughout the internship I have sat in on meetings with the full-time staff members who work with the basketball and soccer teams. I also am assigned to one full-time staff member whose primary sport is women's soccer. One project I have recently completed is an attendance analysis for the past six soccer seasons. I also learned how to use Adobe Photoshop.

How did this experience impact you academically?

So far this experience has not directly impacted me academically. However, because I am a psychology major, this internship has presented me with a very unique opportunity to see a different career path that interests me.

How will this experience impact your career goals?

I think that after having this experience I might try to pursue a job in the field of sports marketing. I have always been very passionate about sports and this career path would give me an easy way to stay involved.

How has the College of the Liberal Arts helped you to find and/or succeed in this experience (e.g., adviser, faculty, staff, enrichment funds, etc.)?

The College of the Liberal Arts has helped me a lot by allowing me to do the internship while earning academic credit through LA 495. Without their help I would not have been able to participate and further my education.
