What was the best part of your experience?

The best part of my experience was being with the Cambodian students. They had the biggest impact on me because meeting the people from there gave me a greater connection to Cambodia as a whole. It was so eye-opening to see their different way of living.

This experience greatly impacted my career goals

How did this experience impact you academically?

I think this experience has pushed me to take school more seriously. Sometimes it seems okay to miss an 8am or hang out with friends instead of studying. But after seeing how hard it is for students there to get an education and how truly valuable an education is, I plan to work much harder in school.

How will this experience impact your career goals?

This experience greatly impacted my career goals. For a while I wanted to be a Humanitarian Aid worker, but didn't know much about it. However, after meeting with the people who ran this trip and talking to them about their positions, I'm pretty positive it is exactly what I would like to do as well.
