What was the best part of your experience?

I was able to get hands-on experience searching for data and information at the Special Collections Library. Through this experience, I was able to learn about the history of philanthropy at the Pattee and Paterno Library. This experience will provide me with skills for any future research work I may do after graduation.

Learning more about how to manage professional work has helped me become more organized

How did this experience impact you academically?

By sharing my experiences and doing weekly discussion posts I was able to share my struggles with professional work. It was very hard to balance an internship as a college student, but learning more about how to manage professional work has helped me become more organized.

How will this experience impact your career goals?

I realized how much I enjoy research work by doing this internship. I made it my career goal to further this interest by applying to places that allow me to take part in economic research. I was able to learn how to handle and sort a large amount of data and that has helped me enjoy data refining (which previously I did not enjoy).
