What was the best part of your experience?

The best part of my internship experience was definitely the people I met. The Hershey Company has a fantastic corporate culture with amazing people who promote growth in both your professional and personal life. The class of interns we had were also great people. We all immediately became great friends and bonded all summer.

Seeing concepts that were brought up in class using real data strengthened my understanding

How did this experience impact you academically?

It was a great experience getting to use all of the information that I have accumulated in class over the past three years and apply it in the real world. I feel like I learn better hands-on, and seeing concepts that were brought up in class using real data strengthened my understanding. I was even able to grow in areas that I have not had much experience with in college like accounting, marketing and IT infrastructure. So, overall this experience definitely strengthened my learning.

How will this experience impact your career goals?

Being immersed in a corporate culture was a fantastic learning experience. Working at a Fortune 500 company with a global footprint allowed me to see the many different functions of a large corporation. I was able to learn a ton and understand which aspects of corporate finance that I liked or did not like. This experience was extremely valuable in shaping my future career path.
