General Information
This award provides recognition to employees who consistently demonstrate a high level of dedication and commitment to the unit and College. The employee has a positive and influential impact on the work environment, displays professionalism and initiative, and fosters cooperation and collaboration among peers and supervisors while carrying out their daily job responsibilities.
Criteria
The employee demonstrates a combination of the following:
- Demonstrates an ongoing commitment to the betterment of the department and College in helping to achieve its mission
- Excels at demonstrating professionalism and fostering cooperation and collaboration among colleagues in order to create a harmonious working environment
- Continuously seeks out professional growth and development opportunities and demonstrates the desire to succeed
- Support and participates in Departmental/University initiatives
- Contributions have long-lasting benefits to the department and the College community

Nominating Procedure
Nominations may be made by faculty, staff, students, and alumni. The nomination shall consist of:

- Nominee Information
- Two supporting letters, each letter not to exceed one page in length:
- One letter of support from the nominator
- One additional letter of support from nominee’s immediate supervisor
Award
Mini Statue + $750
Eligibility Requirements
Standing and fixed-term, non-exempt, exempt, and technical service employees in the College of the Liberal Arts.
- Employed by the College for a minimum of 12 months as of the nomination deadline
- Must be rated as a successful contributor or above per the performance evaluation metrics and has not had any disciplinary actions within the last 12 months
- Past recipients of awards are eligible for nomination in the same category after three years unless otherwise specified within the award description
