The award recognizes the essential role of the faculty member who provides leadership and administrative guidance to the College’s online programs.

Criteria

At least twenty-five percent of the faculty member’s responsibilities assigned to direct administration of an online program.

Minimum of three years of administration of an online program.

Plays a significant role in oversight of program, such as selection and oversight of instructors and course authors, selection of courses to be developed and revised, and managing enrollments. Develops and articulates a vision for the department’s program or courses; communicates clear expectations for excellence to the stakeholders in the program, including the academic department, instructors, students, college, and World Campus staff.

Nomination process

The nomination must come from the head of the academic department that sponsors the program and should include a written narrative describing how the nominee meets the criteria for the award. Nominations should be directed to Avis Kunz at .
