Outstanding Young Alumni Award

Julius Halstead graduated from Penn State in 2016 with bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Philosophy. While at Penn State, Julius was a member of the Multicultural Undergraduate Law Association and worked as a research assistant to several of his professors. After graduation, Julius earned his juris doctorate at Northeastern University School of Law, where he was involved in the Black Law Student Association and served as a teaching assistant for doctrinal and skills-based courses. After law school, Julius joined Goulston & Storrs PC, a Boston, Massachusetts-based full-service law firm, where he worked as a litigation associate handling a range of matters spanning employment, professional liability, commercial disputes, and real estate. Last year, Julius began working as a law clerk to a federal judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.  

The Outstanding Young Alumni Award recognizes College of the Liberal Arts alumni under the age of 36 for their extraordinary professional accomplishments and success and influence as leaders. Award honorees have a record of significant career achievements and serve as outstanding role models for current Liberal Arts students.
