Christopher B. Gamble Service to Penn State Award

Randolph (Randy) Houston Jr. graduated from Penn State in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and later earned his juris doctorate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. An intellectual property and entertainment lawyer, a musician and composer, a writer, a director, an actor, and a world traveler, Randy has enjoyed a venerable career. He has worked with The William Morris Agency, NBC Sports Group, Complex Networks, BuzzFeed, and Fortkort & Houstonthe Austin, Texas-based law firm he co-founded that still bears his name. Randy’s volunteer service to his alma mater began fifteen years ago when he served as a member of the Liberal Arts Alumni Society Board, eventually serving as president. Randy also has been a dedicated mentor in the Liberal Arts Alumni Mentor Program. At the University level, Randy is the immediate past president of the Penn State Alumni Association, and he is a current member of the Penn State Board of Trustees. Beyond Penn State, Randy has volunteered for many organizations, including the Wright House Wellness Center, Long Center for the Performing Arts, and others. 

The Christopher B. Gamble Service to Penn State Award recognizes College of the Liberal Arts alumni who have made significant contributions of time and talent to the college and/or the University. Award honorees demonstrate commitment and dedication to enhancing the objectives of the college and/or the University.
