Service to Penn State Award

Jay B. Style (’70 Labor and Management Relations) is the retired senior vice president/CFO of Mathematica Policy Research, an employee owned company dedicated to improving the public well-being through economic policy research for the government, private foundations, nonprofits, and businesses throughout the world.  Jay worked for the Medical College of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, and the U.S. Department of Labor before embarking on his 27-year career with Mathematica.

Jay and his wife, Nancy, are long-time supporters of the College of the Liberal Arts, Intercollegiate Athletics, and the Four Diamonds Fund as evidenced by their membership in the Atherton Society, the Golden Lion Society, the Sparks Circle, and the Hetzel Circle.  The couple recently established the Style Family Fund in support of the Paterno Liberal Arts Undergraduate Fellows Program.  Jay is also a Liberal Arts Mentor and a member of the College’s Alumni Society Board, where he serves on the Paterno Fellows Task Force.

Jay also holds an MBA from Widener University.  He currently serves on the board of Telligen, Inc., an Iowa-based health care data company.
