The compliance field is dynamic, fast-paced, and ever-changing. The financial crisis and the need to prevent further economic fall-out and promote stability led Congress to enact the most significant regulatory reform in the American financial services industry which highlighted the importance of compliance controls and oversight.
Annette is Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer for Public Markets for the global investment firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR). She oversees the firm’s compliance program and initiatives to meet regulatory laws, as well as appropriately balance the objectives of the business.
As a Penn State undergraduate, Annette was a member of multiple social and honor societies including: the Golden Key and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Societies, Delta Delta Delta sorority, the Orchesis Dance Company, and the student-run fundraiser, Dance Marathon (THON). Following graduation, she earned a juris doctorate degree from Oklahoma City University and entered the financial industry. After working at several major Wall Street firms, Annette joined KKR in 2009.
A steadfast advocate for the College of the Liberal Arts, Annette remains a member of the Political Science Board of Visitor and a supporter of the Paterno Fellows program. She received an Outstanding Alumna Award in 2012 from the political science department for her success as a leader in her profession.
Although Annette, her husband Chris, and the couple’s two sons call the San Francisco Bay area home, they are passionate Penn State football fans and frequently travel back east to attend home games during the season.
