I served as a Liberal Arts student adviser in my senior year.
What was your first job after graduating from Penn State?
Sales Representative for New Jersey Bell Telephone Co.
What were your favorite classes and faculty members?
Community Development 402 was my favorite class. My favorite faculty members were Dr. John Muntone (various speech classes), Dr. Robert Brubaker (TV and Radio Production), and Dr. Lillian Preston.
How did your liberal arts education and skills prepare you for life after graduation?
It provided me with the ability to adapt to different situations, as I had many different kinds of jobs over the years.
What networking advice would you share with current students?
Networking is how I often found new jobs, and it helped me when I started my own independent consulting business, as I leveraged my many contacts to help identify prospective clients.
What role have mentors played in your career progression?
I had several mentors in the UK help me learn my current professional discipline. They helped me understand the profession, which was relatively new, and gave me confidence to move forward in my career.
