After I earned my Ph.D. from Penn State, I became an assistant professor at Kutztown University.

What was your favorite class and/or who was your favorite faculty member?

All of them were great in different ways. I was so lucky to have such interesting, well-read, kind professors.

How did your liberal arts education and skills prepare you for life after graduation?

A good liberal arts foundation gives you not only skills but a well-rounded grounding for living a full life, making informed decisions, and contributing to your community.

What networking advice would you share with current students?

Networking IS your career, in any career.

What role have mentors played in your career progression?

Mentors provided models, gave advice, helped me clarify my thinking and decisions, and showed me options.
