The College of the Liberal Arts Children of Staff Scholarship Fund was created by the faculty and staff campaign committee during the Grand Destiny campaign which ended in 2003.

The purpose of the fund is to recognize outstanding achievement by an undergraduate student enrolled at the Pennsylvania State University who is a child of a staff member in the College of the Liberal Arts.

Eligibility

Undergraduate students who are enrolled full-time at Penn State in any major and location and who are the children of full-time exempt, nonexempt, or technical staff members of the College of the Liberal Arts are eligible.  The student must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.

Application Process

The application deadline is January 31, 2018. A completed application, resume, and brief essay are required. Click here to complete the Children of Staff Scholarship Fund application.

Selection Process

The recipients will be chosen by the College of the Liberal Arts Scholarship Committee. Recipients will be notified in writing and announced at the Staff Awards reception in February.

Disbursement of Funds

The amount of the award will be determined by income available. This amount may change each year. Reimbursement to the student's Penn State account will be made after the Spring semester is completed and the student's cumulative GPA is confirmed to be at least 3.0. These scholarships are not automatically renewable. A new application must be made each year.
